This blog started as a journal for my then 2 year old daughter, hence the title sweet, pretty and naughty, where I wrote her "first" adventures as a toddler. Fast forward to today..I'm in Brunei, trying my way through the adventures of what life will offer me. Expect to read about architecture, interior design, travel & most of all my musings as a mom. This blog is dedicated to my daughter...love you always. - Mommy

Think Thin Thursday #4
I am so happy to tell all of you that for this week I managed to do all my goals and even more and I lost another 3 lbs. I am now 1*0lbs. I lost 5 lbs in just 3 weeks with the help of Think Thin Thursday and some Hula dancing. I am determined to lose 5lbs per month, hopefully even more, if I keep loosing this much I will be able to buy a matching outfit for me and little J for her 4th birthday.
I kept my 1/2 rice diet and drank lots of water. I was able to keep off the chocolates too. Then I did a 1 hour Hula dance class last Saturday and a follow up, Hula teaching to my mom for another 30mins on Sunday. I also walked last Tuesday to work, to that'sa nother 20mins walking. So I am proud to say that I did very well this week.
Goals:
1. 1/2 cup of rice in the afternoon and no rice at night.(accomplished)
2. 10-12 glassese of water.(accomplished)
3. 1 pc of chocolate per day (accomplished)
4. 1 fruit per day (accomplished)
5. new goal 15 mins of threadmill 2x a week. (accomplished) with bonus of Hula Dancing.
6. New Goal: Lay off the salt. This will be very hard for me because I love salty foods. But I have to do this to keep off the weight and be more healthy.
Let's see how I go, hopefully I'll lose some more next week. See my previous entires on Think Thin Thursdays here. For the Task, breakfast menu.
2 slices of papaya or any fruit
1 cup of tee
1 pandesal (bread roll)
2 glasses of water

Think Thin Thursday #3
I forget to weigh in last night so Im not sure how much I exactly weigh now, but I did get to weigh 2 nights ago and I didn't lose anything. I stayed with the 1*3lbs, but at least I didn't gain right. Since last week, I kept my goal really realistic, which in turn didn't make any progress in my "trying to lose weight goal", I think I should go one step higher so my goal for the 3rd week is to start with some form of exercise. For this week, I want to schedule 15 mins of threadmill on Sundays and Wednesdays. Im crossing my finger that I can do this. I took a little more of chocolates this week too, because 2 of my cousins sent chocolates.. haha.. excuses. Hopefully next week, I will stick to my program.
Goals:
1. 1/2 cup of rice in the afternoon and no rice at night.(accomplished)
2. 10-12 glassese of water.(accomplished)
3. 1 pc of chocolate per day (failed)
4. 1 fruit per day (accomplished)
5. new goal 15 mins of threadmill 2x a week.
Let's see how I go, hopefully I'll lose some more next week. See my previous entires on Think Thin Thursdays here. and my favorite blog that helped a lot with my weightloss goal is no other than The Not So Blog and 2 Shrinking Sisters.

Think Thin Thursday Week 2
WEEK 1 Goal- to keep off the rice
I'll be really honest I wasn't able to keep off the rice 100%, I cheated a little and ate 2 lunch with 1/2 cup rice and 1 dinner with 1/2 cup rice for this week. But, what the heck it is still good enough I use to eat almost 2 cups of rice every meal. So I still consider this as a success. Lesson learned, have a realistic goal. It is much better to have a goal to lessen rice intake than take it out all together.
I am still very much happy, because believe it or not, just by taking off a little of my usual rice intake and no exercise at all, I even have my daily dose of chocolates but on tiny quanitities. I manage to take off 2 lbs. I lost 2lbs in just one week. Successful right? I am now 1*3lbs.
Week 2 Goal- (Keep in mind realistic)
I still don't want to exercise, so I'll keep my goal on dieting.
- Rice should only be once a day and not more than 1/2cup. No rice for dinner.
- Here is where it gets more difficult so, my goal is to lay off the chocolates. No more chocolates, ok just a piece per day (to keep it realistic).
- Eat at least 1 fruit per day, to increase fiber.
- Drink at least 10 glasses of water.
So this is really realistic, let's see how will I do next week. Will I continue loosing or gained it back again. I really hope I keep it off.

Think Thin Thursday Week 1
As part of my New Years Resolution, I am joining Think Thin Thursday and try to lose weight. I am hoping, by joining this group I will be more strict to myself and be more focused on my goal.
My first step to my weight loss goal is to buy a weighing scale. HAHA.. I'm so scared to see how I weigh, that I haven't weighed myself for more than 2 years.
WEEK 1 Goal
I am thinking to start easy, but I have to plunge into this goal to really see results so for this week my goal is to not eat rice!
Ok, done with the whole holiday thing, I should really stop myself from this eating marathon so I am going cold turkey, no rice for me at all. This is my first day, and I am proud to say that I am succesful, didn't any rice today. Just fish, and 1 pc of chicken nuggets, some fruits and some squid too. But, I must admit that I indulge with a serving of churros con chocolate with my mom over coffee, but I can have that as next weeks goal. For now, no rice !
Btw, my starting weight is 1*5lbs.. hhaha.. 2nd digit is not shown. I'll post it, someday when I have enough courage to let everybody know. My target weight is 135lbs. That is normal for my height, but I would love to be back to 120lbs or even 100lbs, which is how much I weight 7 years ago. I was really underweight.
My New Years Resolution
I will list down 10 New Years Resolution. I am crossing my fingers that I can do it this time.
1. My biggest issue really is my weight, ever since I became I mom I neglected myself and didn't really care how I look, because of that I gained 60lbs in 3 years. So my first goal for this year is to lose weight. I would like to join Think Think Thursdays to keep track of my progress. Hope this will help me, stick to my goal.
2. Next to my weight, my problem would be my temper. I will try my best to be nice and calm this year. I don't like myself anymore because of this, I am always angry.
3. To improve my relationship with God, I tried this year but again failed.
4. Stop procrastination! I am so guilty with this.
5. I already shared that I am happy on how my finances went for this year, but I'd like to improve more on that. I would like to religiously save at least PHP3,000 per payday. I believe this should be easy for me, since I have been paying Php6,000 per pay day on my loan for the last year. I should be able to stick to this. I kept the amount low, so I can give a little of indulgence for myself this year, maybe some shopping money to spare for myself or little J.
6. To take of myself sometimes and go to spa or salon.
7. To spend at least 1hour per weekday with little J alone, without TV or internet, at least 5hours on weekends.
8. To get in touch with my friends at least once a month.
9. To keep away from sweets and salty food. (This will be the hardest one for me)
10. To smile more, sing and just be happy!
Happy New Year to All of You!
