I got slight fever last night and because of this im not eating as much as I always do. And I stumbled on Lizziness while blog hopping, and I read some of her diet goal plans. Suddenly, I got inspired to go on a diet as well. I gained about 60lbs from the time before I had my daughter. My normal weight should be around 135lbs since I’m tall. I believe im now about 180lbs++ , don’t know exactly since I haven’t weighed myself in years. Actually I didn’t gain weight when I was pregnant, in fact I actually lose about 20lbs for the first 7months. I only weighed around 140lbs when I gave birth, that’s already including the baby, and all the other slimy thingy in my tummy with the baby.
Before I got pregenant, im actually on the heavy side already, at least for my standards at that time. Since I was ramp modeling back in the olden days, I’m used to weighing about 100lbs for my 5”8” height. So by calculations, you can already see that I’m underweight. Going up at 120lbs is already fat for me at that time. Then, I focused on my studies, quit modeling. Then focused on my thesis, quit sports and exercise. Then I focused on my board exam, quit diet, exercise all together. So, after all those things, without even noticing I’m already 130lbs, still not bad. In fact its, ideal for my height.
Then I fell in love, got pregnant, lost my boyfriend, lost my job, lost my friends, got depressed, got paranoid, got lazy, got angry, got all the problems in the world. And who was there to keep me sane? Other than my family, my beautiful baby and some new friends, Ice Cream was there for me. I got a job in a shopping mall as a mall architect. With all the bad food very accessible to me, I didn’t other to stop, ate, ice cream almost everyday of my life, all the other delicious food just right in front of me everyday.
So there, I gained 50lbs, while working in that mall. 50lbs in 1 year. Then I left the mall, got another job, then another, then, another. I didn’t lose the weight, just kept on gaining some more.
Now, I’d like to be fit for so many reasons…

Where is Home?
Yesterday, it was Kristo’s (Owie’s kid) turn to throw tantrums and cry. Usually its Jea who always cry in the morning as we drop the kids to school. But this time, Jea was behaved while Kristo was the one who is crying his hearts out. Owie had to stay and call Vic to come to school just to calm Kristo. When I got back around lunch time, to have lunch with Jea, she told me that Kristo was crying because “Pagod ago, dami bahay, dapat si mommy, daddy and lola isang house lang “ I’m tired, we have so many houses, Mommy , daddy and lola should stay in one house only. Apparently, he got tired of going to and fro mommy’s house and daddy’s house.
In my mind, im still lucky that Jea doesn’t have to go through the same situation. She will not get tired, she doesn’t have a mommy’s house and a daddy’s house. All she have is one home, Mommy’s. She will not get confused which house to go home to. Which parent treats her better. Since she never get to see her father, it’s a little simpler that way.
I would love her to know her father, even if everybody else thinks otherwise. For me, I still cant a father’s love, even if I give my all. It has to come from her father. But that is just a dream, I must admit that I long dreamed for her to play with her father. To be carried on his back, to be held in a ride or simply to by cuddled by him. Forget all about me, all I want is for her to experience all the love she can get. From me, my family , daddy and his family.
Ever since this happened to me, that’s my dream. Forget all the other dreams that I yearned for from way before. This has been my prayers from the time Jea came in to my life in this situation. I prayed for that for years before I sleep, on our trip to Antipolo Church, MAnaog Church and to every other church we went to.
But, I don’t know why, but I slowly let go. It feels as if I’ve exerted every effort I could, prayed to all the saints and churches. Somehow, im already contended of what we have. Going through that tantrums with Kristo made me see that Jea is ok. She’s not affected at all. I know, by now she already know about, “mommy” and “daddy”. She knows and feels that she is not the same with other kids, but she is ok. Not even coping up, its just the way it is. At least she doesn’t have to deal with, who’s house is she going home to. Or she doesn’t have to deal with her daddy’s girlfriend, or mommy’s boyfriend. She has me. The way I see it, she only needs me, nothing more and she will be happy.

My Kindergarten days (blog dedicated to Ate Simon)
I found an old friend in the net today. We were not really that close as we are at least 8 years apart.( Don’t really know her real age, can’t remember anymore) She’s not like the closest friends that stayed with me all this years, but she played a significant part in my life as a friend. This is our story.
I was about 6 years old then. I remember I was crying, sitting on the curb that morning. I know its not the first day of classes, but for no reason I decided to cry because my mama left. So the teacher let me sit there outside, crying my heart out. Thinking if I cry harder, mama will come back to get me. My not so developed but full of imagination mind was like that. I think I’m crying for an hour or so, when this teenage girl, with curly hair and full smile came to sit beside me. She asked me why I was crying, and I just said, “Mama! Mama!” She comforted me, Don’t know the exact words now, but most likely she said, “It’s ok, she’ll come back later, she loves you, she just have to go to the office”
Then she showed me, her fan. It’s an “abaniko” (dried leaves weaved together to form a fan) with her name stitched on it. It says, ‘Simonette” her whole name. She introduced herself to me and said I can call her Ate Simon. I don’t know if I was fascinated with her fan, or she has such an angelic face that I stopped crying.
From then on we became friends. Honestly, I don’t remember anything else about our “friendship” after that. The only other instance that I remember is that she lives in the same street as we do, “Prudencio” about 50 meters from our house. I also remember that me and my parents went to her debut party, and our gift to her was a shoulder bag. That my father saw her, on his trip to Japan about 10 years ago. Cant remember anything else.
If I’m going to count the years that I’ve known her, its already 20 years. Not so much of memories, basically because of the age difference. How would you imagine a 6 year old hanging out with a 15 years old. Very few moments together, but I could say that its really significant, It’s been 20 years, but I still remember exactly how we met. If I’m going to analyze it further I could say that, that moment made me stronger, made me not afraid of school, or whatever it is that I’m afraid of. That moment, also made me realize, that it’s ok if your mom leaves you in school. Eventually you’ll find friends that will make you stop crying. So to “Ate Simon” this blog is dedicated to you! Thank you for being there.
As for my little girl Jea, I now understand you more. That even if there is no good reason to cry, you will still cry, simply because you want your mommy beside you. Finding ate Simon, and remembering how we met, made me realize that, that’s just how kids react. When you’re young, in a new environment, missing your mom. This makes me realize, that I should be more patient and more understanding when Jea cries, because once upon a time I was just like her, crying my heart out, sitting on a curb, outside the classroom. Alone, afraid, and simply sad… I just wish you find your “Ate Simon”. In your case, this maybe your teachers, but somehow its different because if they do that, its because its their job too. I know you fill find her, or him, Maybe when you’re 6 years old, or 26 years old. You’ll find that not so close friend, but nevertheless, very significant friend.

Phone Pal
Last weekend, I asked Jea to dial the number of Nang Nang Pau, just for me to see if she already know the number, if she can already identify and read numbers. She pushed the buttons as I dictate it to her 4-0-0-8-0-x-x. And she did fine, for me I'm already proud that I know that she can read numbers already. Tuesday, when I went home, Tsang told me that Jea was talking to somebody on
the phone that morning. She dialed the number then talked to somebody named "Pinky". So I thought, she just dialled some numbers and it just so happened that she reached somebody named Pinky, who actually talked to her. Its funny, if you think about it. If you'll get a "wrong number" caller who has a soft and cute voice, that ask about anything and everything, not knowing who she is, but certain that she is just a kid playing with the telephone.
The next day wednesday, Tsang told me again that Jea was talking to the same girl 3x the whole day. So I thought Jea is just making it up, that "Pinky" is just an imaginary friend on the telephone. But this is the surprise. Pau actually called the house asking Tsang about the phone calls, apparently Jea was actually calling their house. I asked Jea to dial their number twice, just to see if she can read the numbers. Looks like I under estimated her powers again. She didnt just know which number is which but she actually memorized Nang nang Pau's telephone number. Pinky? Pinky is actually "jinky",Pau's house help. She has been calling their house and talking to Jinky, asking silly questions. They became phone pals... really funny, amusing, but at the same time.. Im so proud that she again, exceeded my expectations.
How Nang-nang found out? She actually answered the phone herself. This was their conversation:
Pau: Hello?
Jea: Hello?
Pau: Sino to?
Jea: Sino ka?
Pau: Nang-nang (she already recognized Jea's voice, but she still thinks that Tsang was the one who dialed the phone)
Jea: San si Pinky?
Pau: Sinong Pinky?
Jea: Yung katulong mo?
Pau: LOL
I didnt get the rest of the conversation.. I'll ask Pau about it this afternoon.. I'll just continue this next time..

The result is- the earthquake was happened at 07:58am 26th Dec. More than 200000 people dead, the biggest tsunami was about 30 meters, a lot people were dead by the tsunami. He also sent the same letter to Indonesia , Philippine, Thailand and other Embassies. He also got the thanks letter from these countries.
The thanks letter from Meigawadi said “ about the 2004 earthquake and tsunami, to prevent the disaster, we must do a lot of things, but in another hand, we can do nothing”.
