Do you watch Anime?

My daughter is fond of watching cartoons, she loves Noddy, Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Playhouse. There are a lot cartoons out there open for watching of toddlers but I always choose the cartoons that my daughter watch. Mostly, I only let her watch Disney Channel, because their cartoons are education and kid friendly. We try to stay away from cartoon netwrok and shows like Tom and Jerry because slapsticks cartoons is not good for viewing for kids. It is not nice to let you kids watch cats thrown in the air or blown up by explosives. These cartoons has too much violence. Another cartoon that I don't like her watching is Spongebob, yes he is cute and very popular but have you really watched a show? The squid is not a nice character, he always has something bad in stored for spongebob, not to mention that spongebob is very stupid. There are a lot of cartoons out there that we as parents should always be aware of the plot, the characters or if this can actually be agood thing for our kids.

Another type of cartoons that are so popular today are animes. There are english versions, and tagalof versions. Kids and adults alike are very fond of this. Teenagers are so into it, that they even buy dvd series of this Animes. I had a draftsman before who always buy dvd's and has tons of posters of Animes, for him its not just cartoons its a lifestyle. There are so many fans that now there is even a chat room for people who love these shows, Free Anime Chat is one of them. I bet he stays up late in those chat rooms too.

Kids Say the Darnest Thing # 7

We just got home from Sta.Rosa, and I am already feeling the stress because of the Holidays. We are always out of the house and somewhere out of town. When we got home, I had to hurry cooking dinner. I poped the Fish fillet in the microwave to defrost it and stir fried it with some garlic and olive oil. I put a little more salt ans it turned out really salty, so to cover up my mistake I put some heavy cream to nutralize the saltiness. Well, I was not successful.

Little J: Mommy, Im hungry.
Big J: Ok, do you want fish and rice? (fish is her favorite food)
Little J: Oh yes, yes mommy! fish and rice!
So I grabed some and heat it up in the microwave. Mama ate with her.
Little J: Mommy, baket ganito yung fish? Why is the fish like this?
Big J: Why baby? Is it salty?
Little J: No...... mommy... parang.. parang.... medyo.. medyo.. hindi masarap! Mommy, its like, its like...... it doesn't taste so good.

Oh thank yopu baby, its the best rejection line I've ever heard, it's negative but it sounded so sweet.

How do I count your comments?

Thank you so much Jes and Sherry for all your harwork and patience here is the tally of you comments. First, let me tell you how I count your comments. My comments is set on moderation right? So I will have to approve your comments first before it gets posted in my blogs as comment. For every comment to be approved there is a notification email sent to me that someone just left a comment in my blog for approval such as this one. As you can see, time stamp and the name of the person who left the comment is indicated, as well as the location on which post did the commentor left it.

this sample is by
Commentor: Enchie
Blog: sweetytots blog
Date: Dec. 16, 2008 2.28AM
Post: Blog and Advertising
Once I approve the comment another notification will be sent such as this one notice the difference. Only the comment minus the informations.

So that means for every comment made there will be 2 notifications sent to my email, then I will just move it in a folder with the corresponding date as unread. Why do I mark it is unread? that is the trick, in yahoo mail, unread mail are counted and refelected as seen here.

Note: this is not te final count I still have to recheck if there are 2 notifications sent or just one and also to check if there are mails mark as read.

So the total number of unread mail for that folder divided by 2 is the total number of comments made on that day.
At least this is how I intended to count it.But from December 20 to present only 1 notification is being sent. So I dont have to divide it anymore. The actual notifications sent is the actual count of comments, it made it more easy for me.
So follow this link for the tally of comments. Let's see if Jes and Sherry gets to double their prize.

Christmas 2008!!!!

This Christmas was great!!!!!!!! The best I had for my adult life. We all know that Christmas is really well experienced by kids, but this Christmas was fun not just for kids but adults too!

Christmas Eve 2008
I cooked the Pasta and Mama did the rest of the cooking, not our usual routine but I am quite pleased on how it went, I could have done a better job with the cooking but I was more than happy to grab 4 opps on Christmas day because Mama was energetic to do it all herself.

I prepared the Pasta and sauce and marinated all the meat that afternoon, then Mama took over the kitchen after our afternoon nap.

Our Christmas Eve Menu
Ceasar Salad
Pasta in tomato sauce and chicken/ bacon cordon blue for meat balls
Baby back ribs(came out really tender and ribs perfection)
T-bone Steak
Spicy buttered prawns
Ham and Edam Cheese ball
Leche Flan
Fruit Salad
Tiramisu
Hot Chocolate with grated chocolate (yummy!!!!!)
Pritson (see the pigs head)

Other half of the menu that I didn't bother cook( we will just save it for New Year's Eve)
Chicken and Mushroom soup
Grilled Salmon
Chocolate Fountain

I already told little J that she has too sleep early so that she will be awake by 12 midnight but the very forgiving, spoiler grandmom told her that she doesn't have to sleep. So the result, a very cranky sleepy little J at midnight. She was sleeping the whole midnight mass at UST, that's why we didn't have pictures there. She was sleeping while we had our Noche Buena, that's why I didn't get to eat at all but drink the hot choco, she was sleeping right on top of my tummy the whole dinner time. She was still very sleepy, while we open gifts that's why she didn't get to appreciate the pink Kitchen set. I really wanted to tell my mom "See I told you so!" It was a disaster Christmas Eve for little J, but we all had fun watching her.

I'll post more about our Holidays soon. Post Assignments!
Christmas day with the Valerio's (Mama's Side)12-25-08
Christmas day with the Espino's (Papa's Side) 12-25/26-08
Gifts Galore
Christmas at Punta de Fabian 12-25/26-08
Thanksgiving to Our Lady of Manaog (Pangasinan) 12-27-08
Family Reunion 2008 -Bulacan 12-28-08

As you can see we had a lot of activities and a lot to blog for me.

The new car!

As I previously posted, our family is really being showered with blessings. When it rains it really pours! or it floods! as my brother would say. See here what little J said.

How blog advertsing helped me get Financial Freedom

Blog advertising network

This year has been really fruitful for us, in almost all aspects. As I mentioned already in my previous post, we received a lot of gifts from the Lord. We received a lot of blessings, most of which we didn't even thought we will be able to get. I learned a lot this year. I believe that that year was one of those years that I got a lot of trials to go through. I changed a lot, my perspective, my dreams, my life. I started this year dead broke, I mean really deep in debt. I started the year with a loan of Php 80,000 to pay for a previous loan that was originally at Php 60,000. I managed to pay off Php 32,000 of it before all those chaos started. The credit card debt went all the way up to Php80,000, but I was able to pay all that this year.

One of the thing the really helped me regain my financial freedom is blog advertising. Just a few months ago I didn't even believe in it, I didn't believe that they do actually pay. I've been blogging for more than 2 years already but I just recently discovered that there are a lot of bloggers out there getting paid to blog. So, I asked around, visited countless blogs and asked, there are friendly bloggers but there a nasty ones too. I joined a lot of sites, looking for sponsored reviews. At first, i didn't get much off opportunities, so I researched some more, and became more observant about other blogs and bloggers. So enough I managed to learn to increase traffic, page ranks, alexa rank, real rank and the likes. I am not keen to all of this stuff, they are too technical for me and I do believe that a blog should be more personal, but what the heck let me try. So I did, and in my first month I earned more than $300, something that I never thought would and can be earned writing very simple post. This is easy, fun and very rewarding, it doesn't even feel like work. I started this year with tones of debt and zero savings account. I am ending this year with zero debt and tons of savings, not to mention that I already bought Php6000 worth of toy as gift for little J, and some more for my godchildren, family and friends. Blog Advertising helped me a lot. The money I earn from it goes directly to my savings, since it is extra money not really accounted in the monthly budgeting.

P.S.

If you think that I was the one who splurge so much for "toys" for little J? No, my mom bought her something more special and more expensive, be back here in the coming days and I'll post what it is. Don't know exactly how much it cost, but its more that Php6,000. Little J is really one lucky girl. I had to ask my mom if it's really true, if she is really giving it to little J as a gift and it is!

Vampires, Do you believe in them?

When I was younger I was really interested in vampires and witches, I even did a research about wicca. Later on my interest in witch craft faded, but vampires really interest me, especially when my all time crush played the role of a vampire. Bradd Pitt was marvelous in Interview with the vampire. He over shadowed Tom Cruise. For me, Brad Pitt was always better if compared to Tom Cruise. I just love him. Do you think I can find him in a Vampire Chat Rooms? I don't think so, but its worth a try.

Our Christmas Routine

Every year this is our Christmas Routine:
In the morning we do our last minute groceries for Noche Buena, we always buy morning of December 24 because we dont want to stuck the ingedients in the refrigerator days before, fresh is always better.
We eat lunch in the afternoon and take our siesta (afernoon nap). Most of the the time I wake up earlier than everyone and do all the cooking. When I say all the cooking, I mean all. Mom used to help me with it but she gets dizzy easily now so I do it all by myself. Usually she jsut helps in the preparation and cut the ingredients. We usually dont eat dinner anymore, because we get full in all the tasting. Then at 10:00pm we go to UST for the midnight mass. Just the right time, by 11:30 we are back home for our Noche Buena. After the Noche Buena, its time to open all the gifts, then we go to my aunts place to greet them Merry Christmas!

Interracial Chat

Since I am a single mom, my mother would sometimes tease me to try
Interracial Chat, she said maybe its my way of finding the right guy for me. Since the Philippines is a very conservative country, it is considered taboo to have a single mom like me as a girl friend. Most foreign nationalities will open heartedly accept my situation, unlike Filipinos. Somehow, sinle mom is not appealing to Filipinos because of the "extra baggage". SO what do you think? Should I give it a try? For me, I am not ready for any relationship at all, with a Filipino nor a foreigner, but with all of this chat rooms, I will keep it in mind.

Kids Say the Darnest Thing # 6

We just got the new Ford Everest today! Papa, got it as part of his deal from his new company! We are reallt being showered with blessings for this year. First, my father got a job as vice president after being out of job for more that 2 years, then he got a new Toyota Altis, also because of that job. Our life quickly turned around because of that. He was able to pay all his debts and even save some. I got a new job too, with a very nice boss and a nice pay. I discovered paid blogging which made me earn more. Nong-nang got married, first last March 8, then recently last December 21, which was a very beautiful and successful wedding. Photos are just great. I'll post some soon, as soon as I get digi copies. Little J is doing great as well, she entered school his year and she is getting straight A grades. Mom is not doing too bad too.

We we're talking inside the new car, we just can't believe just how much blessings we are getting:
Papa: I cant belive it, all my life I wanted to get a brand new car and for this year we got two, first the Altis then this Everest.

Mama: Of course, we should be thankful, we are being showered with blessings.

Papa: When it rains, it pours!

Nong-nong: It doesn't just pour its floods! (to exagerate)

Little J: All of a sudden after a longs pause said..
"papa, baket? Umuluan ba?" "Papa, why is it raining?"

And she steals the scene again, what a punch line?

G-Hotel

Its a tiring day for all of us, after the wedding we still have a lot of things to take care of. A lot of things to put away and store, gowns decors, shoes, other props for the wedding. We brought a lot of things in the hotel. We stayed for 3 days 2 nights in the hotel. The suite was beautiful, too bad we are too busy to appreciate it. The kings size bed is marvelous, although we didn't get to sleep much. I love the lobby of the hotel, its so modern and chic, very elgant. The breakfast is so good too, not to mention the overflowing dinner at the wedding reception. We so love G-Hotel! Here are some photos:

Santa's Gift

I have been listing down little J's Christmas Wish, now I'm going to list down my own.
Since, I feel really blessed, I have to think hard of what to ask Santa. I am considering that my Santa is the Lord, so this Christmas wish is also like a prayer to God. So here it is:

1. I wish for our family to stay together and always love and understand each other even though we have a very dis functional family, really chaotic household but I still consider that with all the hardship that we went through and still mange to stick together, heck this is one family that will always stick together. Even though we always have petty quarrels we always manage to make peace with each other.

2. I wish for healthy life for all of us, my parents are not getting any younger so I hope they stay healthy as now, also for little J and me too.

3. I wish for more clients for my work and more bonus for me.

4. I wish to have time for myself and my friends.

5. I wish that little J will do great in school as she is doing now. If she keeps on getting perfect grades she may be accelerated, let's see.

6. I wish to meet more wonderful friends here online. More opps too!

7. I wish to find that someone who will love me and little J, the way we deserve to be loved, or for a miracle that little J's father and me to get back together. But again, I think it will take a miracle to make that happen.

These are all the things that I wish for for the next year. I am looking forward for a wonderful 2009, I will take a lot of pictures for this holiday season. I will post it here soon and hopefull to be framed in a digital frame. What about you? got a wish?

I am including a video here on how to put all those pictures in a digital frame, perfect for the holidays.

What did you get from Santa?

I remember when I was a kid, I always get something from Santa. I got lots of toys. I get a Barbie doll, almost every year that I why I was able to accumulate about 20 Barbie dolls from my childhood, three of which was handed done to little J. Sadly, it became too brittle because of its age and in just a few weeks with little J the Barbie lost an arm and a leg and the head too. Good thing little J has her own Barbie dolls so she didn't feel too bad about my old Barbie. I also remember receiving another doll that stands up and wiggles her butt. I loved it so much that when I decided to "leave home" when my mom got angry at me, I brought it with me, together with a bag full of clothes and went out our house and sat by our gate the whole afternoon. When I got hungry, I went back home and said my sorry to my mom. I think I was about 8 years old then. I also remember receiving a letter from Santa Clause when I was 12 years old, saying that "Santa" loves me so much but he is just too old to visit me every Christmas, that he will not be able to come back for the next Christmas, as if I didn't knew that. I have a lot of memories about Santa. I wish I can keep all of it in a digital photo frame. Little J got a wish of receiving this talking doll for Christmas, I am thinking about buying it too, but I already spent so much for her gifts this year. I am also thinking that she will easily lose interest in playing with this doll, just like the other dolls. She love dolls, but not as much as she loves "playing Chef ", that is also the reason why I opted to buy the Pink kitchen set for her, even though it is so expensive. By the way, I got the Pink Kitchen Set already, and I left to with my aunt for safe keeping until Christmas, so that little J won’t know.

What about you? What did you receive from Santa? Do you know that by this time you can store those memories in a digital photo frame? It’s very easy to do, Santa himself will guide you. It’s fun and entertaining, so click and check it out?

We agreed to mit at Marks and Spencer, while waiting I bought gift for my mom., stroll downstairs and got some taste test from the bakers fair. That is also where I bought some brownies for Earth. Calling All bloggers Out there, Help!

I need help bloggers, I just made my very first post for an opportunity in snapbomb. I did the same thing as other sites, I wrote my post with the specified word links and their url links. Nothing extraordinary was needed for the post. As iv've said it is my first so I wanted it to be accpeted and approved so that I can do more opportunities for the site. So, I have to submit the exact ling of my post, right? Simple, so I did, and this is what I got

,"the URL of your post is not on your own blog domain: http://www.sweetprettynaughty.blogspot.com/"

What do you mean its not in my domain? I dont understand. This is the exact link that I was trying to submit http://sweetprettynaughty.blogspot.com/2008/12/blog-advertising-with-snapbomb.html. Do you find anything wrong with it? Please help me, I dont want to be rejected on my very first opportunity with them.

Edit: After reading the help & support forum, I figured out why my post won't be accepted, it is as simple as putting the www in the link. So I successfully submitted it already.

Blog Advertising with Snapbomb

For three months now, I have taken advantage of the blog advertising as a means to earn money. Quite honestly, I have been very successful in doing this. For the first month I earned more than what I expected. It's a big help for me, earning extra while doing what I love to do. I started blogging not knowing there are opportunities like this for me. All I wanted was to keep a journal of my daughter's milestones as she grow up. I just like to write, so that I can still remember how exactly all of her adventures happened. Her triumphs, joy, success, failure, accidents and a lot of funny anecdotes are written in this blog. She was barely 1 and half years old when I started this, not she's 3years old that looks like 6 and thinks like 26. I had no idea about blog marketing, but I got curious of all this buzz that other bloggers are talking about. After awhile I noticed that a lot of bloggers are doing this thing, and of course, I jumped into the waggon. I joined in sites like snapbomb and I am very please ever since. I am very thankful for this opportunity, although I am just a newbie I could sat that I benefited a lot from this. In fact I was able to buy a lot of things that I wouldn't even dare buy because of budget constraints. Well, I am proud to say that because of this blogging industry, it made we free from those "budget constraints", I was able to buy beautiful toys and other merchandise because of my "blogging money", not to mention finding new friends too.

Exciting ways to Meet

There are a lot of ways to meet friends, with the spill of of social networking in the net with the likes of Friendster, Facebook, Multiply, and even blogging is a way of meeting friends. Why do we need a lot of friends? I think partly because we always need a boost about our ego, or to just have somebody listen. With this very rude world, we always get distractions, depression and even trauma. We all have to went through a lot, just to be able to live by. Free BBW Chat is one of the chat rooms out there. Try to log in sometime, maybe you'll find a friend there too.

Latina Chat

I have met a lot of Filipina bloggers who met their husbands in chat rooms. Who would think that they can actually find their prince charmings in those chat rooms. Most of them are now residing in the states and happily married to their husbands. Seems like a fairy tale story isin't it? But its true, it is their love story, most of them didn't believe that it is going to happen. That they will find their soul mates in those chatrooms but they did. Makes me wonder if I will ever going to find my soul mate. Some meet even in Free Latina Chat since we look a little like latinas.

Street Family

The world today is much more different than before, more and more families are now living in the streets, no home, no decent clothes and no food to eat. I dont want to be self-righteous but I did something very different last night that I would like to share.

Last night, as I was on my way home I passed by the same street, walking from Rockwell Kalayaan to Makati Ave. For the past month that we relocated our office there I pass the same street everyday, but this time I heard something. I heard a little baby crying, there was a family living in a kariton a few steps from our office. For the everyday that I passed there I didn't noticed them. They are hidden under a tree beside the delapidated building. So I continued walking, I was in Makati Ave already, about 200 meters away from them but I cant get that crying off my mind. I told myself I had to go back. Part of me wants to go back, the other half of me is scared to go near them. I just got my salary last night and these people might try to get it from me. I don't want tpo judge but, this things happen all the time here in the very poor country Philippines. But I had to go back and at least buy them dinner,so I did. I passed by the carinderia and bought them 4 orders of rice and 2 viands. I thought it would be more than enough for 2 adults and a toddler to eat for dinner. I paid Php84. So I went back to the kariton and gave then their dinner.

As I was approaching, I noticed that there are 3 children all under the age of 3, or they must be just malnourished to look so small. The father and the mother are there too. The father is laying some carton on the cold sidewalk, maybe preparing for their "bed". The mother is searching for something in their kariton. When they saw me, I noticed that they are scared, maybe as scared as I was. So when I get there I said "Manong, binilhan ko kayo ng pagkain" (Sir, I bought some food for all of you). He was still shocked, still a little scared. All of them are staring at me, not knowing what to do or what to say. Me, myself dont know what to say. The father broke the silence by saying "Merry Christmas". I smiled, handed the bag of food to the mother and left.

Then I walked a way heading home, I am already far from them but I still can't take them out of my head. I don't know if I am like this because it is Christmas, and I know helping is right, but this also makes them lazy and doesn't get them off the streets. I passed by McDonald's and bought a nuggets happy meal for my daughter, it cost Php100. Isin't it ironic that the food that I bought for a whole family a few moments ago cost less than the meal that is for my daughter. 5 mouths was happily eating the meal, and it cost less than what my daughter would eat for snack. Made me feel truly blessed. This Christmas season has been a very happy one for us. Truly, we are showered with blessings.

This morning, I went back to the "street family". I brought some old clothes and blankets, some old shoes too and pansit for their breakfast. When I passed by their kariton it is still covered with tarpualin, most likely they are still sleeping. So I just dropped the bag of clothes and food, right beside their kariton for them to see as they wake up.

To be honest, I wouldn't go back again there to give them food. This will only make them dependent to people who will give alms to them. They are 2 able adults who should look for work, even as a construction worker or a labandera. For now, I gave them food, hopefully they will come to their senses and go look for job, they are responsible for 3 kids. I would like to to talk to them to tell them that they should be responsible for their family, but since they are still asleep I wasn't able to do that.

A gift from Santa

You all know what I am going to give to little J on Christmas right? But, that doesn't end there. I still have to buy another gift as a gift from "Santa". You all know waht I'm talking about right? I am thinking od givibg her a toy doll. I saw this toy doll in Toy Kingdom, pretty much like the "Baby Alive doll". It talks and say "mommy", "papa" and a lot more. It giggles and even snores. She also drinks milk, and you can actually see the lips move a bit when you give her, her milk. She also wiggles when you tickle her. Very cute, and it is not as expensive as the baby alive doll, it is for Php869.00 only. Ok I know, that's a little expensive too, but the baby alive doll retails from PhP2700 to P4600, depending on the model, so compared to that it is really cheap.

I really have to stop buying anything, I already spent about Php6000 for little J's Christmas present alone. The kitchen set is about Php5000, then I also purchased a vtech smile learning system at around Php1500, now I'm planning to buy the doll at Php869.00. I really like to shower her with blessings. I should better get a hold of myself.

I am thinking of giving her art supplies, something that can actually fit insite the stocking. I already bought art papers, set of brushes, markers, paints, and yesterday I was able to buy stamps at Php26.00 only for a set of 4. I also bought her books na pala...8 pop-up books, a learning to read book, fairy tales, Science beginners and fairy activity books.. oh and the learn to play the piano. I got the books at 20% discount and 5% rebate. So I was able to save around Php800 from those books too.

What about you guys? Do you give 2 gifts too? One from "Santa" and one from you?

Blog Advertising

Do you believe that blogging or blogs for that matter is a form of blog marketing? I believe so, a lot of bloggers including me is using this form of media as a way to earn. There are thousands of blogs out there are doing getting paid to blog. In fact this is how I managed to pay for the very big splurge, Christmas gift for my daughter. To be honest, that is the most expensive thing I ever bought. I am a very thrifty person, specially for myself. If its for my daughter little J, I tend to bend or even brake my rules about money. That is why bloggers and advertising has become another way for me to earn money. If not for blogging, I am sure I will not be able to buy such a beautiful gift for my daughter this Christmas. Writing a post on sponsored reviews are not that difficult, most of the time it takes just 3 to 5 minutes of my time to finish a post. This 3 to 5 minutes of my time put all together is earning me quite a decent money every month.I can say that blog advertising is such a great help to striving moms just like me. It is a win-win situation for both the advertiser and the blogger, advertising on blogs is gaining popularity now a days. People are so into internet, techie stuff and everything new. The blogosphere is really a good medium to get heard or be noticed and that is what this advertisers are capitalizing on. Having advertisements or links on blogs are a great milage for them to get noticed, and getting noticed translates to more sales, more sales means better business. This is the in thing now, and will still be the in thing for the comming, onths, and even years. Who knows, blogging maybe a new form of entertainment that will eventually kick out television.

From this Moment

My father is Singing the Last Time by Eric Benet and I think that this will be a very good song to answer that song. Just imagine the groom saying the lyrics of "The Last Time" and the bride answering it with "From this Moment". I sang this in a wedding of my mom's friend a few years ago, I think it would be quite fitting to sing this is my brother's wedding. Read the lyrics and dont forget to get back to the lyrics of "the last time". It is beautiful isin't it?

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true because of you

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you, I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment
I will love you as long as I live
From this moment on

The last time

My father will be singing this on my brother's wedding... I'm thinking I should sing too, but I don't have the time to practice, or I can just sing the Shania twain song, that I sang a before in another wedding, so I dont need to practice. Now if only, I can remember the lyrics, I don't even remember the title. Edit: I remembered: "From this Moment"
"The Last Time"

The first time I fell in love was long ago.
I didn't know how to give my love at all.
The next time I settled for what felt so close.
But without romance, you're never gonna fall.
After everything I've learned;
Now it's finally my turn.
This is the last time I'll fall... in love.
The first time we walked under that starry sky,
there was a moment when everything was clear.
I didn't need to ask or even wonder why, because each question is answered when your near.
and I'm wise enough to know when a miracle unfolds, this is the last time i'll fall in love.
Now don't hold back, just let me know.
Could i be moving much too fast or way too slow.
'Cause all of my life, I've waited for this day.
To find that once in a lifetime, this is it, I'll never be the same.
You'll never know what it's taken me to say these words.
And now that I've said them, they could never be enough.
As far as I can see, there's only you and only me.

This is the last time I'll fall in love.
Last time i'll fall in love.
The last time i'll fall... in love.

Kids Say the Darnest Thing # 5

This happened a few days ago.

Little J had her nap for the afternoon, she awoke because she wet the bed. Peed on the new bed, new, mattress, new bed sheet. Nang-nang was visiting that afternoon and she talked to little J about it.

Nang: Oh oh.. wee.. wee..ka, magagalit si mommy nyan, diba bago yung bed nyo?
Mommy will get angry, your bed is just new, right?
Little J: Ay hinde!!! (then she lifted the sheets) Tingnan mo! Tignan mo! Plastic oh! Plastic!
No!NO! Look!Look! Plastic!, (reffereing on the plastic wrap of the mattress).

She is just so smart, that she is not worried that, even if she peed, she knows that the mattress will not get wet, because it is still covered with plastic. Which is right, since there is still plstic the pee will not seep in the mattress and all she have to do it wipe it out. Very smart huh? She analized that already!

Im being too hard on her

Ok, I confess, I'm being to hard on my daughter. She is so smart and really advance both physically and intectually that I sometimes forget that she is only 3. She looks and thinks like 6yr old. Im so sorry, I realized it now, and I'm trying my best to clean up my act. I expect too much of her. There was even a time that I was expecting her not to wet the bed, only because I know she can do it. She is potty trained even before turning 2. She will tell me when she needs to pee, as long as she is awake. It was never hard for me to train her, she is just so smart. Infact she didn't even use a potty, she went straight to the toilet bowl, climbed it by herself. That's how she learned. There was a time, that she can also sleep all nighht, without wetting the bed. So I thought she can do that all the time. But I remembered she is just 3, and wetting the bed when asleep once in a while is normal. I should not expect too much of her. I am trying my best not to be angry everytime. She is such a sweet angel and she doesn't deserve how I treat her. I love her beyond the stars and is very sweet to her, but sometimes I slipped..sometimes I turn too a wicked mom, and shout at her. I know its bad, Im so sorry. Im really sorry. I love her so much, and it hurts me to remember times that I get to be angry at her.

Love you so much baby! I'm sorry, mommy will try her best to not do it again!

On a lighter note, I would like to share to you, Kids say the Darnest Things #5

Sold!!! Finally, I have decided to buy this!

Yes, I bought it and 2 more Magnetic Dress up bear, one as the prize for my ongoing giveaway and one for my god daughter. Finally, I made up my mind. Why? Because she deserves it. Little J is really such a darling, other than her straight A grades. She is also doing her part into keeping and taking care of her things. She kept her end of the deal, I better keep mine. Although it is too expensive for a toy, it is much easier for me to purchase it online because I will be paying through paypal from my "internet money' which means, my budget will not be affected at all. Lastly if, my brother who is 28years old, and having a very expensive weeding next week can purchase a Php5000.00 toy, an airsoft gun, and he is not even a kid to begin with. I felt really bad about it, me and my mom are trying to keep our money so that we can give our share for the wedding expenses. Since he is not worried about his expenses at all and can even spare Php5000 of his money to buy a toy rather than pay for the wedding expenses, i told him that i will not be giving him my pledge for the payment of the flowers. Let him worry about it, its his wedding anyway. I realized, I should be spending my money for the love of my life and my reason for living, my daughter. It doesn't matter of its the most expensive thing I ever bought. What matters is how happy it will make her when she see the kitchen set.

This will be my very first big splurge, "what blogging bought" item. Thank you very mcuh to Bang, of Come and play for giving me a huge discount. Thank you so much. I believe, I wa able to save more than Php 1000, for this purchase thank you so much!!

Contest Update! A turn of events!

There's a lot to say for today's update. First, Chris left a message that she is "waving her white flag already" surrendering to (Chris oops sorry.. haha) I mean Jes and Sherry. But, while Chris is surrendering to the almost clear winner, there is a twist. Today, as of 10:51 pm Jes was able to comment 86 comments only. That means she will not be able to double her prize, but she will still win the toy if you ranked 2nd to Sherry. Since Chris has declared surrender, Jes you are still on 2nd place. Unless, Jes will be able to comment 14 mpre comments before midnight, then her prize can still be doubled. Sherry, on the other hand is firing like a machine gun with her comments. Today she made a whopping 412 comments.
Sherry's comments:
12-06-08 = 119
12-07-08 = 149
12-08-08 = 142
12-09-08 = 189
12-10-08 = 268
12-11-08 = 436
12-12-08 = 144
12-13-08 = 102
12-14-08 = 412

Jes' comments:
12-09-08 = 190
12-10-08 = 120
12-11-08 = 382
12-12-08 = 150
12-13-08 = 142
12-14-08 = 86

Edit: As of 11:08pm Jes was able to comment 16. So that means she will still receive twice as much as the original prize. So I think I should ask Jes if she would like another toy as the 2nd prize or some childrens books for your son. Your choice. Let me know.

Edit 2: Since you picked books... you request is my command. The actual cost of toy is equal to 4 pop-up books. Since, I really feel bad that your kids cut off their playing time at Mcdo playland. I will give you 5 pop-up books and 3 Kimpossible activity books for your Ishi too.

But remember, dont miss a day for the 100 comments. As of today, the prize up for grabs are the following:
1 Magnetic Bear Dress-up toy
5 pop-up books
3 Kimpossible activity books

The cash equivalent to this would be Sherry's pot prize. So as of today, since Chris surrendered, I thinks it is safe to say that Jes will recieve the prizes and Sherry will get the cash prize equivalent to that. Unless, Chris changes her mind.

Its just between Jes and Sherry, which are both declared as winner already, its just a matter of which or how much prize you both will be getting. Isin't it nice that the two of you can actually control, which or how much prize you will be getting instead of Random.org right? So the only question would be if you both will recieve the doubled prize or not. Keep commenting 100 and you will be sure of it.

Btw, Sherry can I just give the ec credits by the end og the contest, Im a little too busy this days. Thank you!

Kids Ahoy Project Happiness

From a very tiring Kiddo Academy Christmas Party, we went straight to Kids Ahoy. We had to climb the Mrt station stairs to take a taxi in Robinsons. fortunately there was no line at all, so we got a cab really fast. In the taxi, little J immediately opened the gifts from her classmates. She loved the Sun catcher kit from K. Without me noticing, little J doze off and took a nap. When we got at kids ahoy, there was not much of activity yet. Little J was still silent since she just woke up, we met Yona and Kylie and their respective moms. We just missed the story telling session and I was very eager into trying to break the ice and let little J enjoy the kids ahoy experience. She was a little bored at first and really sleepy so I bought a book. Simple Origami book, I tried one while teaching little J how to do it, Yona and Kylie and the very cute Santa Baby caine joined us. Soon, the boys are also doing origami. I instantly turned into a teacher, and Im proud to say I had very contented and happy students.

We had arts and craft marathon, doing origami and glitter painting. Little J also went to an eating marathon, fries, hotdogs, brownies and 3 bottle of sakto coke.
After a while, the benifactors came, all the way from Lucban. At this time 3 musketeers, namely Yona, Jea and Caine are playing inside with the Nintendo DS. Soon, the front yard was filled with kids. There was a little program prepared, some sang, some danced. There was another story telling by Teacher Tessa, which brought more energy to the kids. Then, snack time kids had hotdog buns, little J got ahead of them and asked for a hotdog even before they were served. We are suppose to leave, but little J bargained and asked for another five minutes and we stayed for another 30 minutes after that, which was a blessing since we we're able to be there and join the gift giving. Little J, although really tired already helped handing the gifts to the children. I know, she really wanted to keep the brown bag since she saw that it is full of candies, ut she gave it to the kids anyway. We left by 4:20, yes Enchie you missed us by 10 minutes. I paid for the pathfinder Id and gave asked Teacher Aia to relay my message to Enchie.

Enchie: I told teacher Aia that the ID was for you, your son.

Honestly, little J doesn't have an ID yet. I don't think I can fully commit to sending little J to Kids ahoy every weekend. There is just so much other things that we have ti do on weekends, so I just attend their activities every once in a while. I do hope to attend the nature trip by January since we always miss it.

If my schedule is not as hectic as this past few days, hopefully I can commit to an every week attendance with kids ahoy. In that case, I will avail of their vanguard card. Hopefully!

Kiddo Academy Christmas Party '08

Pre Party

This is little J's first school Christmas Party, mommy is more excited than she is. Few days before, we already purchased tons of childrens books for gift giving. Both for little J's classmates and inaanak. I was trigger happy with the purchasing of books. First because I have 20% discount and 5% rebate. Second, its because its books and when buying books it feels like its a very wise purchase rather than buying toys. Third, because I was warned by my mom not to buy anymore toys since when we last organized stuff at home we realized that little J, got so much of toys toomuch of it. I should not be surprised since I buy at least 2 toys a month, and little J is 3.5 yrs old already, so just do the math and you'll know just how much toys "junk" we have at home. I got the classmates gift done. Next would be gifts for the teachers. Little J is in nursery but she has a lot of teachers, and all of them deserve to receive an gift from us. They have been very considerate in taking care of her on extended hours. Their off should be by 5pm but most of the time, I get to pick up little J at 5:30pm or even later. So I opt to buy all of them gifts. Just a little token, saying thank you.

The day of the party

First, booboo, I didn't know about the exchange gift. Silly me, of course there is an exchange gift. Well, can you blame me? I'm a single mom, with full-time job, blogging at night and have an on the side business without a yaya. To cover up my act, I tried to buy gift and go to the MRT station which is 10steps from their school and hope that there are children's books being sold. Without luck we went to the tiange stalls and tried our luck there, nothing good enough, so I had no choice but o go to the last resort, just give cash. On our way back too school, I decided to just buy a box od donuts for the male teachers. It was really hard for me to buy somthing for them.

The school was chaotic, just imagine there are at least 75 toddlers age ranging from 2-6 with their parents, yaya and even lola. 7 very busy teachers and 2 clowns. It was chaos, but really fun. At first little J was eager to join the games but when the clown arrived she got scared and backed off. It was really fun, I had fun watching the little ones (and the coaching mommies) count the heads of the kids in the "boat is sinking" game. The clowns also have a prepared, guess what game, which I can say was really entertaining. The mommies played too, which was more chaotic.

At 11:30 we're given lunch, care of "Max's" which is really good. We both enjoyed it. The 3 or us, Lea, Owie and Me with the rest of our entourage decided to eat inside their classroom. The kids had a great time while we eat, the room is filled with toys. After lunch we went back to the AVR for the exchange gift. Little J was not happy with what she got. She received a can of Danish Cookies, she was so envious of the other kids who got toys.

To round it all up, the Christmas Party was fun, Teacher Liza and Ms. Jollibee also gave her a gift. She also got a sun catcher kit from "K", a box of brownies from Sasha and a puzzle from Gwen. I was really glad that her classmates really liked the pop-up books that we gave them. Little J personally wrote all their names on the gifts. She did very well, of course I had to shorten some name, insted of "Teacher Jollibee, I told her to write T. Jobi". She was tired and I was too, but the day was just starting next stop, Kids Ahoy.
